The terms that govern your use of TransitAtlas, including subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds.
Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using TransitAtlas, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
The service
TransitAtlas is a directory and intelligence platform for transportation organizations. Directory content is compiled from publicly available sources and carries provenance. Some features (collectively, "Pro") are available only to paid subscribers.
Accounts
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Subscriptions & billing
Pro is offered as a recurring subscription billed monthly through our payment processors (Stripe and PayPal). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the applicable fee to your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price. We will give reasonable notice of any price change before it applies to your renewal.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account (via the billing portal) or by contacting us. When you cancel, your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period and then does not renew. We do not delete your account automatically on cancellation — you keep a free account.
Refunds
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or features you did not use. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days and we will review the charge in good faith.
Acceptable use
You agree not to scrape, resell, or bulk-export the platform’s data beyond normal use, misrepresent your identity, attempt to bypass paywalls or access controls, or use the service to violate any law or the rights of others.
Data accuracy & no professional advice
TransitAtlas aggregates public information and forward-looking intelligence (such as rebid timing) that may be incomplete, out of date, or estimated. It is provided for informational purposes only and is not legal, financial, procurement, or professional advice. Verify anything you rely on for a business decision against the original source.
Intellectual property
The platform, its design, and its compiled datasets are owned by TransitAtlas or its licensors. Underlying public records remain the property of their sources. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; it does not transfer ownership.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date below and, where appropriate, communicated to subscribers. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
