Overview
Miami-Dade County's transit operator, running Metrobus, Metrorail, Metromover, and paratransit services — one of the largest public transit systems in the southeastern United States.
Responsibilities
- Operating Metrobus and the all-electric Metro Express bus rapid transit network
- Running the Metrorail heavy-rail system and the automated Metromover
- Providing Special Transportation Service (STS) paratransit and MetroConnect microtransit
- Maintaining county roads, bridges, traffic signals, and public-works infrastructure
2nd most cost-efficient of 12 Florida transit operators on cost per ride. Ridership +57% since 2022.
